Here is the link for Dabiq #12, the latest internet magazine for the Islamic State (published 11/17/15). Bottom line — The Sinai affiliate of ISIS claimed responsibility for destroying the Russian airliner which broke-apart over Sinai on 31 October 2015. The downing of the aircraft was a “revenge” attack against Russia that was initially planned against a country aligned with America in the coalition, but was changed at the last-minute in retaliation for Russia’s bombings of the Islamic State. Dabiq 12 also takes aim at France and includes pictures of the night of the Paris attack and people wounded in the attack. Below is a quote from the Forward, page 2, explaining the justification for both attacks, and one of the pics of that night’s destruction that was included in the magazine:
A year earlier, on “19 September 2014,” France haughtily began executing airstrikes against the Khilāfah. Like Russia, it was blinded by hubris, thinking that its geographical distance from the lands of the Khilāfah would protect it from the justice of the mujāhidīn. It also did not grasp that its mockery of the Messenger would not be left unavenged. Thus, the Islamic State dispatched its brave knights to wage war in the homelands of the wicked crusaders, leaving Paris and its residents “shocked and awed.” The eight knights brought Paris down on its knees, after years of French conceit in the face of Islam. A nationwide state of emergency was declared as a result of the actions of eight men armed only with assault rifles and explosive belts.
The Qur’anic justification for the attacks is from none other than Caliph al-Baghdadi, himself, as he is quoted on the same page:
“By Allah, we will take revenge! By Allah, we will take revenge! Even if it takes a while, we will take revenge, and every amount of harm against the Ummah [community of Muslims] will be responded to with multitudes more against the perpetrator. {And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves} [Ash-Shūrā: 39] [Qur’an 42:39].
Baghdadi continues:
Soon, by Allah’s permission, a day will come when the Muslim will walk everywhere as a master, having honor, being revered, with his head raised high, and his dignity preserved. Anyone who dares to offend him will be disciplined, and any hand that reaches out to harm him will be cut off. So let the world know that we are living today in a new era. Whoever was heedless must now be alert. Whoever was sleeping must now awaken. Whoever was shocked and awed must comprehend. The Muslims today have a loud, thundering statement, and possess heavy boots. They have a statement that will cause the world to hear and understand the meaning of terrorism, and boots that will trample the idol of nationalism, destroy the idol of democracy, and uncover its deviant nature. …
These are the deeds of those upon the methodology of the revived Khilāfah. They will not let its enemies enjoy rest until enemy blood is spilled in revenge for the religion and the Ummah.
Other items in Dabiq 12 that stuck out to me were the following:
- Throughout this month’s issue was the use of the phrase “revived Khilāfah”:
- Then, by Allah’s grace, the Khilāfah was revived from the blessed land of Shām [greater Syria] on 1 Ramadān 1436. (page 39; see also, pages 57, 32, 29, 3).
- One section of the issue focused on the allies of al-Qaeda operating in Syria and their apostasy by receiving support, direction from America and her allies in the battles against President Bashar al-Assad of Syria. In addition, the “Syrian revolutionary council” as apostates for opening the door of negotiation with the United Nations Security Council and its envoy on August 17, 2015. The
- Another section focused on Muhammad’s saying that Muslim men are entitled to up to four wives (and unlimited concubines), provided they are able to manage and care for the needs of the four. If not, then some number less than four. The section deals with the benefits of polygamy and chastises Muslims for going the way of the West by no longer endorsing polygamy. Women are chastised because they cannot endure any competitors for their attention in a polygamous marriage, and they need to get over it. From page 22, we read:
- So pay no attention to the statements of unprincipled women [Muslim women who require a one man, one woman marriage] whose sources of reference are vile plays and soap operas. Rather, let your example be the women of the prophetic household [Muhammad’s household]. And every sister should know that when her husband wants to marry another woman, it’s not obligatory for him to consult her, nor to seek her permission, nor to try and appease her. If he does that, it is an act of generosity on his part and a means of preserving the companionship between the two of them. So be content, my sister, submit to Allah with obedience, and yield to His law. And if a woman does this, then it is fitting for the Most Generous to increase her rewards in the Dunyā and the Hereafter.
- Probably one of most interesting sections was that entitled “Paradigm Shift Part II” by John Cantlie, the U.K. captive who has served as the ISIS live broadcaster on various ISIS videos. Cantlie presents the view that the Islamic State is here to stay. He quotes from various sources who make the samp point and suggest that it will soon come the time that the enemies of the Islamic State, i.e., the enemies of the West (United States) and the enemies of the East (Russia) n begin negotiations with the Islamic State as just that – a “state” that may not have geographical borders but comprises a people group under the umbrella of Khalifa. Quoting from page 50:
- “We cannot destroy ISIS, so we will have to learn to live with it,” former counter-terrorism chief for MI6 Richard Barrett wrote, “Iraq and Syria will not return to how they were, and whatever it ends up calling itself, a new entity has emerged that will remain in some form. Currently that entity is aggressive, intolerant and uncompromising, but it is a truth that for all its dystopian features, ISIS offers those living under its rule better governance in some respects than they received from the state before it took over. Corruption is far less prevalent, and justice, albeit brutal, is swift and more evenly applied.”
There are some very interesting observations that we can make about the key points above. I intend to do that in my next post, particularly on the issues of the “revived Khalifah” and Cantlie’s “new paradigm.” Both have possible implications in bible prophecy.

I look forward to your next post regarding the key points above. I was re-reading portions of your book a couple of days ago, because it has been a while since I first read it. In Daniel 2 you interpreted the legs of iron to be the Roman empire and in Daniel 7 you interpreted the fourth beast to be Islam. I used to interpret both the same way until one day as I was reading those chapters I heard the Lord say “wait a minute, did you catch that?” Catch what I asked.
Dan 2:40 “Then there will be a FOURTH KINGDOM as strong as iron; inasmuch as iron crushes and shatters all things, so like iron that breaks in pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces.”
Dan 7:23 “Thus he said: The fourth beast will be a FOURTH KINGDOM on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it.”
God gave them both the same name, so we would know he was talking about the same kingdom in both Daniel 2 and Daniel 7. Islam and Islam. I know it is hard for people to accept that Rome was left out of Daniel 2 and 7, but He didn’t want us looking to Rome for the AC. Rome is, however, spoken about in Daniel 9 (“the people of the prince that is to come (Prince Titus) will destroy the city and the sanctuary”).

Hi Susan, Actually, I do the same thing, Islam is in Daniel 2 and 7. I interpreted Rome as the legs in Daniel 2 but Islam as the feet. Check out page 61 and following as well as the next chapter. We are on the same page.
